Music

Dario Colozza is a sound artist and performer of electronic and contemporary art. Under the pseudonym Ynaktera, through an atmospheric and minimalistic aesthetics and a solid knowledge of mathematics and physics due to his studies in engineering and long term experience in music, he pursue his research in experimental music, focusing on the mathematical and purest characteristics of sound. He is a member of “Stochastic Resonance”, an artistic research group, which aims for the union of the confines between art and error, considering the latter to be the just means through which gain a more complete, mature and profound perception of art and the world.

In this work, the sounds are generated converting the sampled electrical signals from the plant, in morse code, and then pitching them along the range of hear extension to create beats in the low frequencies and very interesting sounds in the high end. Furthermore he used granular synthesis to recreate the tumultuous life inside the plant.
